Papua
New Guinea
is one
of the
most exotic
places on earth! Both above the water and below you'll discover
new adventures you cannot
find
anywhere
else, making
this place
very popular among photographers.
Join
us aboard the live-aboard
Spirit
of
Niugini for a digital photo workshop. Your hosts will be
Donna Lattin from South Pacific
Island
Travel
and Bonnie
Pelnar.
This workshop
is designed
to show you how to use your digital camera and get the best
shots possible when shooting underwater. The
workshop
is for all skill levels - no camera is too big or too small!
During this trip you will have the opportunity
to learn
how to overcome the challenges you'll discover when shooting
underwater. New Guinea offers some amazing macro
opportunities
and the wide angle is spectacular as well. Each has its
challenges. We'll show you what you need to know to
get some
great photos during this trip.
In addition
to shooting
tips and
techniques, you'll also learn all about how to improve the
images you've captured using Adobe Photoshop
or Adobe
Elements.
Some
of us will
be also
doing
a highland tour to Ambua Lodge for four days before we
get
on
the boat. Roughly
Sept.
12-16. Donna and I are flying
Singapore
Airlines
through
Japan
and Air Niugini into Port Morrisby and out to Milne Bay
where we board
the boat.
Typically
we
would spend
one
evening at a
resort
in Port Morrisby after the trip, before flying out, but
this depends on flights.

Thailand.
MY Spirit of
Niugini
gives guests the opportunity to maximize
their
PNG
experience
by diving the pristine waters
of Kimbe
Bay,
Rabaul, and
the islands
off of East Britain. Heading into fall
explore
Milne
Bay and
beyond to the best of
what
has
been
discovered in the last 20 years. Each trip will
feel
like
an
exploratory
trip, as you will be hitting
the little known Conflict
Islands, Engineer Group, Samarai, Trobriands,
Duke of Yorks and
many other small undiscovered
reefs.
